Oil painting course (Thursday 7pm - 9pm)

Service Description

DURATION: 6 weeks Thursday Evenings: 19:00 – 21:00 April 17th, 24th May 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd LOCATION: The Glen School Of Art MATERIALS: A4 oil paper (canvas) sketchbook. Oil paint brushes (stiff bristle) palette knife. Suggested paints to include in your palette: Burnt Umber, Cadmium red, Cadmium Yellow, French Ultramarine Blue, Titanium White, please include any other paints you enjoy working with. Designed for both beginners and experienced artists. For beginners we will start at ground zero for oil painting. We will cover paint mixing, mediums, painting in layers, colour blocking, blending and edges. For the more experienced artists we will be looking to build and improve on your existing skill set. Each week you will be completing at least 1 painting per session. Ultimately you will be able to comfortably competently painting anything in oils.
